Bull Sluice is a Class Five rapid on the Chattooga River separating South Carolina and Georgia.  It can be approached from either side, but the South Carolina side has a convenience center and a paved trail half of the way.  From the center's parking lot, follow the trail down the hill to where it forks (remember you got to walk that hill coming back).  Take the right fork through the woods to the river below (the left fork take you to a beach area downstream of the rapids).  From the Georgia side, follow the Chattooga River Trail upriver several hundred yards to where it forks.  Take the right fork down to the river and scramble over beached debris to the river.

Directions: From Westminster, follow US 76 west about 18 miles. From Clayton, follow US 76 east about eight miles.
