 It's cheating to call the 30-foot cascade created by Sequoyah Lake Dam a waterfall, but they create a very pretty spot for a picnic. December 2000 was one of the coldest on record. It was so cold, in fact, that the lake froze enough to hold several inches of snow on top of its surface.  Directions: From Highlands, drive two miles toward Franklin on US 64.
