![]() The North Fork of the French Broad River drops 15 feet to create French Broad Falls just before it merges with Shoal Creek. Actually, Shoal Creek does a similar feat as it cascades down to the French Broad River (see the picture below of these unnamed falls). The falls are on private property at Living Waters (There is More Ministries) and are free to the public. Just park at the ministry, ask permission to see the falls, follow the trail information and pick up any trash left behind by irresponsible waterfall-seekers. The more famous and more publicized Bird Rock or Cathedral Falls lie downstream, but I ran out of daylight. ![]() Directions: From Rosman, travel north on NC 215 for nearly eight miles. Living Waters will be on the left. All photos © Allen Easler. |
