![]() Oconee Station Falls (aka Station Cove Falls) trickles over the edge of a 50-foot high ledge at the end of a .7 mile trail in Oconee Station State Park near Walhalla, SC. It's an easy and peaceful 20-minute hike on a wide, mostly flat, old logging road. You can double the length of the hike by starting at the trailhead at the State Park headquarters. The park features several Revolutionary War-era structures worth touring. ![]()
Directions: From Walhalla, take SC 183 north for three miles to SC 11 (Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway). Take SC 11 north for two miles. Look for signs directing you to Oconee Station State Park. Turn left onto Oconee Station Road and follow two miles to Oconee Station. There is a pull-off with room for a few vehicles on the left about .3 mile beyond park entrance where the trail crosses the road. All photos © Allen Easler. |
